National Level Science Talent Search Examination (NTSE)

The National Level Science Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national-level examination conducted by the Unified Council for the purpose of identifying and nurturing talented students in science. The exam is open to students of all boards and streams, and is conducted in two stages: Stage I and Stage II.

Various Levels & Test Pattern

The NSTSE is a two-level examination.

  • Stage I: This is the qualifying round of the NSTSE. It is a 60-minute, computer-based test consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions. The questions are based on the science curriculum of Classes 6 and 7.
  • Stage II: This is the final round of the NSTSE. It is a 90-minute, computer-based test consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions. The questions are based on the science curriculum of Classes 8 and 9.
